Working with Katrena for the last 7 weeks has been the most magical, exquisite, and productive journey I have ever experienced.
I “met” Katrena in the first EMI Sage training circle in October 2021 and heard of her work with EMI but it was when listening to her talk to Lou in EMI Café that I wrote down “I know I will be working with Katrena and that the Universe is already paving the way”.
Let me put this in context.
I was in the middle of another programme, which was a significant investment, creating my first online summit and had just left my full time paid employment in response to feeling, and sensing, I needed to create space for my creative working life; my husband is self-employed, we have bills to pay. My journal entry made no logical sense, I couldn’t see how or when – there was just a deep inner knowing that THIS was how I wanted to create my business. This is what I was creating space for.
My next entry relating to Katrena was watching her work with a client, modelling her comfortable way of enabling her client to uncover their field of excellence and – in VERY large letters across my page! – I wrote “I WANT THIS!” and above it are the words “Help the Universe to help you”. Katrena spoke of writing a book (You what!!!) as a positioning tool, to establish “What do I stand for? What is my philosophy?”
I knew that these two questions were stumbling blocks for me, this is where I kept getting stuck whenever I had looked into other “business” programmes. What IS my field of excellence? What ARE my values? I knew these were the keys but, until I saw Katrena working, they were hidden.
The discovery call with her was amazing – and even that feels an understatement! I felt a connection with her that I intuitively knew was going to be a golden key if we were to work together. I also recognised that she would be a steadying, guiding hand when I wandered off after shiny objects (creative impulses!) she inspired me with her focus and work ethic and I sensed I could trust her.
I couldn’t wait to get started.
Katrena’s model of two intensive days to begin the programme is inspired; she knows exactly what ground needs to be covered and “orchestrates” the day with such beautiful grace and ease that I was almost unaware of how far we came! The image I have is of an expert guide leading you up a mountain climb – she confidently shows you the path, she encourages you when it feels steep, knows when to pause, when to give you a hand over a rocky section and regularly shows you the map.
Katrena’s work ethic is infectious, and she is generous with her availability, working with our different time zones apparently effortlessly. We quickly settled into a pattern where we knew the best time for collaboration; Katrena is always clear when she needs information from me and if that can be done in a brief message or email or if we need to talk over Zoom. I particularly value her willingness to be there when I have questions, when I need to rant, and to share my joy and excitement. Her ability to “see” my brand, and visualise completed designs is exceptional and she has enabled me to make decisions which have previously held me back.
In just a matter of weeks, Katrena has supported me in writing and publishing my book, strategically launching to No 1 Bestseller on Amazon; she has built my website, my business cards have arrived, the first copies of my book and I have my banner at the ready! She is guiding me on the next stage of my business journey, always encouraging, always inspiring and always modelling the fun to be had, living a creative lifestyle in your field of excellence.
And I know I have a new friend for life.
